In 1992, Rovers gained promotion to the new Premier League, just one year after being taken over by entrepreneur Jack Walker, who installed Kenny Dalglish as manager; in 1995, Blackburn became Premier League champions. However, four seasons later, the club were relegated, only to bounce back up to the top-flight two years later.
Their most recent triumph came in the 2002 League Cup Final, beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff.

Simon Garner tops the all-time goalscoring charts, netting 194 goals in two spells with the club. Blackburn’s largest margin of victory came all the way back in 1884, defeating Rossendale United 11-0 in the first round of the FA Cup.
