In the 1907/08 campaign, Bradford were promoted to the top-flight after winning the Second Division title. Three years after, the club reached the 1911 FA Cup Final; beating Newcastle United to lift, to date, their only major honour in history.
They also won the Third Division North title in 1929 before winning the Third Division North Cup 10 years later. However, relegation followed in 1962 and the club bounced between the third and fourth tiers of English football for quite some time.
Bradford endured a successful period in the 1980s which saw them win promotion in 1981/82 and lift the Third Division title in the 1984/85 campaign. However, they were relegated out of the Second Division five years later.
Promotion to the Premier League in 1999 was an outstanding achievement and ended a 77-year absence from the top-flight. In 2000/01, the club entered Europe and reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Intertoto Cup, but ended the campaign with relegation out of the Premier League.
