Founded just 70 years ago in 1950, Burton currently play at Pirelli Stadium – which holds just under 7,000 fans – and have done since moving from Eton Park in 2005. Burton competed in non-league football from 1950 to 2009 before they were promoted to the Football League. The Brewers’ best FA Cup performance came back in 2010/11 where they reached the fourth round and were knocked out by Burnley. However, they did reach the semi-finals of the League Cup in 2018/19 but were subsequently knocked out by Manchester City over two legs.

The club’s widest margin of victory came back in 1954 after they defeated Coalville Town 12-1 in the Birmingham Senior Cup. Richie Barker remains Burton’s record top goalscorer, netting 159 times in 270 appearances for the club. Darren Stride holds the record for most appearances, featuring 646 times between 1993 and 2010.
